I think azcowpuncher was a hot head period..........and I think jinglbob overreacted,I been reading as many of the posts that I can ,and I sure dont see anywhere he was ganged up on.
Which brings me to this.........if everyone posting here expresses their opinion and they all agree that they disagree with you.....does that mean they formed a pack ? I think not,it means you are outa step with the majority.

I keep reading all the generic posts about how ole so & so said this and how who knows what did what ever ??.
If you got a gripe state some facts and names,I have never like the pack mentality either, but everyone posting these boards has a right to post their opinion,as long as they are obeying the board rules.............good luck

I got chewed on a bunch with a ' certain' poster here and I had to tuff it out on my own. I've been asked to leave, ordered to leave by some!

I've been in some doosie of arguments here and if I, a lowly female     , can tough it out....I must have thicker skin that I realized.

Honestly, I'm kinda sick of all this swooning and crying. If you wanna leave....leave and do it quietly with pride and composure without cranking up a ' love fest'.

Now, we need another ' hot' topic !!

I gotta give some credit to ole Kola, she took so much heat, and some of it was down right rude and obnoxious, but she hung in there, and took it. I would hate to be married to her, a man would NEVER get to win an argument with her! she must be half stubborn mule!

although I find her a foolish liberal, I respect her for her ability to fight her own battles.(plus she sent me some nudie pictures)

AZcowpuncher, weather in jest or not really came on strong and laid the smack down all over anyone not big ranging in AZ. I enjoy hearing how others do things, and some of the techniques are interesting, but not usable here. Even the way soap builds a catch pen out of his trailer and a fence, then just walks his bulls in there...... I have no patience or horse skills to do that. but I sure like the pictorial of it happening.

besides, I like my smaller pastures, after a real crappy day I can go out drive around and just sit there looking at my cows, it relaxes me, makes me remember what my goal is, and replenishes my drive to achieve it!

will I ever run a few thousand cows on a big spread? doubtful, but it don't get me down. All I want is to be able to have enough so I don't need that job income, and to be in a position that if my boys want to come home to farm, I can accommodate that and keep growing.

A young guy getting started in this business will NEVER achieve his goals if he is always looking at others, and trying to run like the big dogs. slow and steady wins the race.

jigs....I think I'm in love with you!!!!

Psssst...more pics are on the way!!

    You poor lowly thing

Some day I'll have to fill you in on where sympathy fits in the dictionary....

I missed a lot.....Or stayed away from a lot.....

A lot of what gets stirred up I stay away from as I see no benefit of getting in....

As far as Republican/Democrat....I am Republican, but not too proud of the abuse of power i have seen..I am talking in regards to handling of money and political appointments to unqualified people...Yea Yeah, both sides do it, i just expect better from my side.....

I have friends of all political spectrums.....And people I dslike from all spectrums....Maybe it goes down to the integrity and generousity of the individual more than the ideals of the party to me,

Well said, jigs. I also just like sitting in the pasture watching my cows. We may not have a whole bunch compared to quite a few on here, but there are enough to keep me busy and satisfied. I've come to realize every cow is unique in her own way, and I've learned what and what not to do with each one. Maybe our cows wouldn't fit in to alot of operations that are talked about on here, but they work just fine for us here.

I missed all the fighting and ain't reading back to catch up. It ain't worth it.
But now those pictures Kola darlin are worth it. Please send me the pictures too.

My momma always told me that if you can't say somthing nice don't say anything at all. I try to stick to that unless it is doggone important.

Ya know something got to going on a cosmic level here.

Holy Smokes....this is getting plumb scary now!!!

There may be hope yet!

actually, my gut feel is if many met over coffee, they would get along fine, be able to see we are dealing with different opinions, not evil people,

now I won't be able to sleep tonight!

1200 acres for sale near me, perhaps you should buy it and I could mange it for you....then we could have "business meetings" quite regularly!

I was going back thru some of the poems I wrote over time and this one jumped out at me. Kind of reminded me of AZ.

The Real Thing

I'm outta here he said with a growl
And stomped out into the yard
He made his way to the bunkhouse
Started shoving things in his bag, real hard

I'm a cowboy and never been nothing else
This place just aint right for me
I need to find something with other cowboys
Where days are spent ridin prairie.

I won't touch no dam old tractor
So don't even bother to ask
Cowpunchin is my one & only thing
I will not do a cityboy task

He said here is my resume'
And said go ahead spread this around
There's a cabin out near the badlands
For now that's where I'll be found

I looked at this small piece of paper
Printed on the back of a little matchbook
Handwritten with a broken lead pencil
After a glance, I gave it a good look

It said " availible a real good cowboy"
I'm one of a very rare breed
I bring a good horse and saddle
So a ranch job is all that I need.

I've years and years of experience
Of bringing in all kinds of strays
There ain't no terrain too rough or tough
I've rode them all in my days

I've worked a lot of big ranches
And they all liked and respected my art
Like you, they were sad to see me go
Now don't you go falling apart.

I have lots and lots of good friends
Not a single enemy do I know
Sure there's a few I don't care for
Them folks that just like to blow!

So if you're looking for a genuine cowboy
The kind that big ranches desperately need
I'm one of the rare, unique and forgotten
PS... My computer requires high speed!

How many times do you figure this might have taken place?

then we could have "business meetings" quite regularly!

would that be considered mixin business with pleasure or mixin pleasure with business :? :???:

or more importantly, would it be tax deductible :-)

Yes "business meetings" eeeehhhhheeemm *cough* can be tax deductible. They went unnoticed on our books for almost 4 months...... Thank goodness for cell phone bills! Just a sidebar for men if you are going to have business meetings make sure your wife doesnt do your book keeping 8)
