I was going back thru some of the poems I wrote over time and this one jumped out at me. Kind of reminded me of AZ.

The Real Thing

I'm outta here he said with a growl
And stomped out into the yard
He made his way to the bunkhouse
Started shoving things in his bag, real hard

I'm a cowboy and never been nothing else
This place just aint right for me
I need to find something with other cowboys
Where days are spent ridin prairie.

I won't touch no dam old tractor
So don't even bother to ask
Cowpunchin is my one & only thing
I will not do a cityboy task

He said here is my resume'
And said go ahead spread this around
There's a cabin out near the badlands
For now that's where I'll be found

I looked at this small piece of paper
Printed on the back of a little matchbook
Handwritten with a broken lead pencil
After a glance, I gave it a good look

It said " availible a real good cowboy"
I'm one of a very rare breed
I bring a good horse and saddle
So a ranch job is all that I need.

I've years and years of experience
Of bringing in all kinds of strays
There ain't no terrain too rough or tough
I've rode them all in my days

I've worked a lot of big ranches
And they all liked and respected my art
Like you, they were sad to see me go
Now don't you go falling apart.

I have lots and lots of good friends
Not a single enemy do I know
Sure there's a few I don't care for
Them folks that just like to blow!

So if you're looking for a genuine cowboy
The kind that big ranches desperately need
I'm one of the rare, unique and forgotten
PS... My computer requires high speed!

How many times do you figure this might have taken place?

BOY Empty pockets you NAIL IT. :D :D :D

Prepayed cellphone... No bill as far as I know..

Mom got one after her reg cell provider tried to force her to go to a super-duper service plan that she didn't want nor need.

The Trac phone is prepaid and she loves it.

Kola that's just pillow talk :) LOL

I think we had already decided we were married to at least second cousins or some such thing :)

MOst folks I know who have them are ones that can't pass the credt check on a "normal" one, lol... But I do se it as a nice barebones package if you don't want something to be a pain in the arse. Along with that you have a great system to make sure your teenage kid doesn't spend to much money on a phone.. once the minutes are out they are out, gotta go buy new ones at the Radio shack or wherever.

:lol2: That's a goodun.

Re. the tracphones..........they are NOT great for everyone!

We bought one for 'city and travel' convenience because our cell program was so costly on roam charges, plus we have only used bag phones do to crumby coverage in our part of the world.

No improvement! It would not allow us to use it in Nashville and other places we travelled to and through, due to no agreement with local tower owners, it seems.

mrj

You don't have to use tracphone per se.. I mean, Sprint/Nextel has a prepay, so does Cingular/AtT and I think , oh crude, the one with Catherine Zeta Jones doing all the advertising has one too.. AGain, I don't use one at all really but depending on the carrier you have and where you are you can run into that problem with a normal cellpone too.. I know in Burlingon, CO I couldn''t get a real single with my Sprint phone 2 years ago and when I did it cost a small fortune to make a call... Same as Cellular one when I had that in MOntana, I hit Chicago, which was a cellone area, and I couldn't use the local towers.. Made no sense.

well, now how do you think it made the mule feel being compared to you????
:???: :P

I am pretty sure that there is no way I could ever upgrade from what I have....Mrs. Jigs is a patient, understanding, passive woman. (who can not shoot a gun) the worlds most beautiful/wealthy/ erotic woman could never sway me from my wife....not even for a cheap thrill!

sorry Kola, but you can still buy that ground !!

If you're smart you'll make sure she doesn't learn to shoot!!!!!

Not interested ....you've taken the ' blush' off of the idea now!!!

And who got out the rumor I was ' cheap'....

Ya know something got to going on a cosmic level here.

Do ya'll realize that RR, Hoppy, Cal, jigs agreed with me, now BMR agrees with Haymaker!!

Holy Smokes....this is getting plumb scary now!!!

There may be hope yet!

Like most of you, I've faced a few scary things in the past. Angry cows that wanted to kill me for looking at their new baby. I've jumped the odd fence when a rammy young bull put the run on me. I've had a few hair-raising experiences with machinery and had some people so mad at me that I thought one of us might die.

But none of it was as scary strange as what happened on here in the past few days. Sworn enemies laying down their guns and joining in a big group hug and practically swearing comraderie against a common foe.

This is almost stranger than the incident that triggered the whole thing. It's so scary that it's almost enough to make a guy swear off of this place. Almost.

Who the heck is this AZ guy anyway? He's got some kind of POWER!

Kola, at the risk of raising your ire, I'm going to question your spelling and ask whether you meant "cheap", or "cheep".
