absolute love the pictures under "few more" I'd make them my backgroud if they didn't have snow in them, don't know if I wanna be reminded of the cold when I log into the computer in the nice, dry, warm house...

Great pictures Tap, you know I really like that kind of country. I told my partner about a pretty big ranch for sale southeast of Ekalaka and he was pretty interested untill I told him my dad had left there to come here. Then he told me if my dad wasn't tough enough to make it there we sure as hell weren't. I just told him dad was moving up in the world but he still wouldn't buy it.

That "insurance" always looks better when its cold and blustrey doesn't it? Your country looks more seasonal than some of your earlier posts. How cold did you get? As always, I too, enjoy your pics.

-40 here this A'M -I saw two magpies pushing a raven down the driveway squirting ether in his beak trying to get him to start. It's nice bale grazing in this weather-not having to fight with froze up brittle equipment is a treat.

nr, is that -40 F or C? There where you are I don't know which scale you use. Sound cold though. Hope they got the raven running. Should have headed south months ago.

And is it wise to believe either of you? You must be correct on this issue; I have learned something today. Thanks. I'll edit this post. IL just voiced my reservations as I was posting!

Great Pictures Tap..as usual...Isn't it amazing that only a rancher can find beauty in nasty cold temps?lol There's always some good with a little bad I think...Your pictures look like us today, dreary and snowdusting with a touch of frost...Thanks

I am southeast of Ekalaka cowboyup. lol. Well, maybe 60 miles SE of there. I like that Ekalaka country real well. There are a lot of good people that live there too. You have a beautiful area to live in, so not all is lost.

Shortgrass, it has not been real cold here the last few days. Probably around 5-20 degrees day and night. It has been cloudy enough that it has not been real cold at night. There is a front just west of us, and it is 30+ degrees warmer on the other side of it. BUT, we are not in the real cold either, so that is good.

Did you ever lose any of your snow, or hasn't it warmed up down there yet? I haven't heard much about your area lately.

I got a kick out of your post NR. I will have to remember that one. :!:

It's winter here, too. I'm already tired of snow.

Where we are the snow is gone pretty much, only a few drifts that are shrinking rapidly. On south and east the is still lots of snow. It won't warm up enough to thaw much. I'm hearing 18-24" most places.
