And I hope you had a better Monday than me, was minding my own buisness in the bottoms today doing a little fence patchin when a young lady drove up and introduced herself as the new mail carrier and was looking to buy a few acres for her and her new husband.
Seemed like a nice girl were kinda walkin talkin along the creek bottom when a big old armadillo got spooked you know those damn things aint got any sense and are as blind as a bat, but harmless.
Anyway it spooked right at me on the trail and i just stepped aside, bout that time the mail girl { did I mention she was a hefty little devil } saw that big old armadilla 3 foot and coming fast and i will be damned if that fat girl jumped flat footed and landed square on my back.
Now my old back aint nowhere near strong enough for alot of that but i managed to stay on my feet and get her off.
She was mighty apologetic as she drove off and I limped back to the house, might be a day or 2 before i get back to the filly I been starting.
Just goes to show you can be in the right place at the wrong time.
Anyway if you get a new mail person from the city becareful, still amazing to me how that fat girl can jump,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,good luck

what kinda holiday is it jody ? I thought this girl was on her mail route, no mail today ? I never know when the mail runs, dont get much mail around here.

Well Nov. 11 is Veteran's Day, and since that was Sunday the Government shut down today.....So I got work out of the wife :D

Don't count on it. In fact you just might see him haulin an armadillo up to the mailbox! :shock:

Well that is interestin, I knew yesterday was veterans day, had no idea the govermunt shut down today, sounds likely tho.
I have been sellin a little land here and there and I suppose someone told her maybe i would have something but No not anything like that, closest neighbor is a couple miles I like it like that.

she could not have been too fat... if they jump up in the air and get stuck, thats when you know they are fat!

Well I hafta admitt put like that, dont sound to good and a first for me. cuz she can flat jump bones, that fat girl sprang on my old back like a damn tree frog :mad:

Well it's your own fault for being so handsome,and being able to sweet talk the ladys so well!! :) Hope your back is feeling better,and your back to your oldself soon.You never know when the next Lady might come along,and she might not be able to resist you to :wink: .
