I just ain't much on milking beef cows

Well the heifer calf is better this morning ,she is up nursin mama and seems like she is gonna make, 2 days of the milk cow blues paid off I reckon, she is a heavy lil devil I had to tote her up to the pens twice to get mama in the chute, so might be a happy ending.
Good luck

You're not as hard nosed as you would have folks believe. I figure you sat out there and followed that thing all over the place - worrying and fussing and now look at you - admitting you were carrying it.

Hard nosed my azz!

You are a bit of a softie - and looks like you might actually grab a few bucks down the road for your labours.

My turn to you - Good Luck!

When it becomes more of a 'business' than a 'labour of love' it's time to move onto 'greener' pastures.

Me, myself...I live for nothing more than turning a new pair out of the barn, and watching them WALK together (cow and calf) rather than run.

If on open-range, and I'm driving/riding up to them...and she gives me 'The Look' while I'm checking things out...I know I've accomplished something worthwhile with my life.

I don't know any other way.
