We trimmed up the mare bunch a horse sale ago-I had one good sized bay mare was getting some age on her and a bit sore so we shipped her. I'd used her in the pasture a bit when she was younger but she wasn't very fast so we'd just used her as a brood mare. Anyway the night of the sale I get a call-a lady had bought her for a saddle horse. I said didn't you notice she was lame-apparently not. Well I said if your just going to ditch ride she'll probably be ok but that I hadn't rode her for quite awhile. Well she turned back up at the sale last week-I get another call-this guy thinks she's the next Zenyatta. The old girl is sounding so good I just might have to buy her back lol.

That story reminds me of the one where the family took their old
wore-out buckskin to the sale...he didn't bring much and the guy
that bought him took him out back and cleaned him up and ran him
back throiugh the ring later. The guy that sold him noticed this nice
buckskin horse that reminded him of the one they just sold...so HE
BOUGHT HIM!!! Boy, was he embarrassed to find out he'd bought his
own horse back....
