I miss the old days on Political Bull

I do miss the "old days" on Political Bull, when you didn't have to log in to follow what was going on. Having been on a little road trip over the week-end, I couldn't just check out the happenings on my phone like I could with other parts of the Ranchers.net forum.

I'm wondering what is to be gained by having to log in. It has always seemed like those with common sense could more than hold their own with the Liberal lies. Why not give "visitors" the same opportunity to distinguish right from wrong as do those who log in? I am wondering what the benefits of "logging in" are that would outweigh the old system of not logging in? Any comments are welcome. I know this should be on Political Bull, but since that is such an exclusive club anymore, this seemed to be the logical place to put this post.

I don't really have much of an opinion on the login deal. Might be for the best. It is a place that seems to bring out the worst in so many that I try hard to avoid it (semi-successfully) as I can find myself being pulled down to that level. There are liberal lies and conservative lies, and that's politics. The constant personal attacks are childish and continually turn what could have been a good discussion into the same old nonsense. There are a very few folks in PB that tend to stay above the nonsense and give interesting input (be it right or wrong in my opinion) and I thank them for that.
If I were Macon I might not want just anyone stumbling into that cesspool before becoming a member because if PB were their first impression of the site they just might never return.

While I miss being able to just read a few comments when I was waiting for my new computer to figure out what I wanted to do.. without signing in.. I can understand the decision.

For the most part I would have to agree with silver.. except that I don't try to avoid political bull...

there are some parts of the west I miss more then anything and that is the common sense approach to most problems..

discussing politics out here is like arguing religion in Ireland, if they agree with you ..then they welcome the conversation,.. but if they disagree it is like you just crucified their messiah..

but with that said.. the attacks do not represent Ranchers.net well.. and if anything I learned growing up was not to air the dirty laundry in front of visitors..

It takes less time to log in than it does to post all those pictures..........

Besides, Gravlee is prob embarassed for the world to see what a dump PB has become.

On a whole different subject, Kola, what did you think of Legend of Rawhide last summer? Peach and I went this past Saturday night, and it was wonderful. What a great night for the "super moon" to shine upon the pageant participants. There's a chance I might even stick up some pictures of the event sometime.

I loved it!! They really put on a great show!! I like Lusk.

I won't be in WY this summer, too much on this side of the Mississippi this year . I'd love to be able to see it again, maybe next summer.

I like seeing all the teams.
