All 3 look good. Justin, where did you get yours? Be brave...after all, I posted pictures of my black cows :P
Ya but you did that so we would let you play with us :D . Any way the bulls look pretty nice I really like the red one.

I like them too. Maybe the third one not quite as much as the other two. :P

Interesting that you mentioned 'balance' in your post about the Hereford, gcreek.
In talking to Larry Leonhardt (most people here know who he is) I asked
what he looks for in a bull. He said "balance'. That carried a lot of weight
with me cuz he is one knowledgable son of a gun. Has a reputation for knowing a lot about bulls, genetics, etc.

Very nice bulls, Gcreek! Proven fact that Canadian bulls preform better having had spent a breeding season in Missouri. :P

nice looking bull Gcreek....guess you are getting wise in your old age....

by the way, what cup size are you now that the Mrs. has returned from her trip??

Was the sale average not less then last years sale?So the hereford you bought is he a horned hereford or a H-2?

The sale ave. was off $500 from last year and included bulls not sold. Last year every bull sold.

The bull I bought is a horned hereford that has been dehorned.

the jeopardy music is still playing justin.

... meant to say - i like the looks of your hereford bull too and wasn't fooled by the dehorn job. but one of the hereford bulls in the background looks like he might be a polled bull. any how nice bull gcreek. who are ancestors?

A big share of the Creech family's own breeding since the 60's is behind their cattle. Some herdsires, including this bull's are bought. They are all horned.

You can see the catalog at www.MC Quantock. I'm sure you will know a lot more about pedigrees than I do by looking around in there.

Glad you like him Ace, we'll see what he produces won't we? :D

I wonder how come all the bulls weren't bought? What was there floor price?Might have something to do with, people can't dump there cows fast enough these days, even if that just means they all go for slaughter,as long as they are gone.

I'm seeing more commercial guys holding back their own calves to use as bulls, and I'll admit, that includes me. I keep hoping the market drops before I really do need a new bloodline.

I don't believe it would have mattered what the floor price was until it got to what they were worth by the pound. When the buyers were done they were done. I'm quite sure most of them will find homes before spring.
