You never fail to surprise me NR. I thought all bull pimps were suppose to spit after saying 41/97!
I have a 41/97 son out of a Easy Fortune cow that I used to breed heifers. When I went to look at the breeders you could pick him out as soon as you drove in the yard. They have a very distinctive look, appearing to cut up behind the sheath, usually resulting in no butt end. When you look from the back he is exceptionally strong for an angus.
My brother in law always kids me that they bred the ash off angus and now they seem to be working on the tails.
I bought this bull to breed heifers, but if the calves aren't a big disappointment I expect he is going to breed some cows as I don't see him doing any harm and maybe a fair bit of good. One thing that concerns me is the low milk number assigned on the EPD. Can anyone explain how they assign epd's to offshore bulls? His milk is breed average in NZ.
Will Frazers try any more or are they soured on that deal?
Say NR, how do you think that Roy kid will do in the bantam draft. I only saw him play twice, but he seems to have a lot of athletic ability.

Bingo we have a winner!!!!!! The only black bull Murray got actually-I'm really liking this calf. He looks like he'll work in a grass deal but isn't so toady he won't work anywhere else.

NR- What is the dams side of that bull?... Is he registered and if so can you get us the registration number?...
I truly like the looks of him...He's kind of the direction we've went with our cows the last few years- capacity, muscling, and moderate frame, but not to an extreme that it gives up everything else- while putting most the emphasis on the good maternal side of the old angus breed.....

A neighbor west of me has a couple yearling Pinebank sired bulls out of some bred Deboos heifers he bought- and altho I haven't seen them yet- he says they just stand out from his others for capacity and muscling- and easy fleshing ability....

Well I make alot more money trying to raise cattle that work than I ever do or will pimping semen-my son Ty picked out this calf before we knew his breeding-he is as good footed and free moving as any yearling I've seen-lots of hair and is plenty thick enough especially when you consider how he's been fed. His mother is a Bon View Bando 1245 daughter out of Willabar New Trend 60B cow-she's a low birth weight really good uddered cow-the bull is a purebred. I'm trying to get Murray to collect him this spring-he'd work well on my Lad 20P baldies I'm thinking. ninety percent of Angus cattle have too much milk to be practical anymore. As for the Roy kid I'll guess 4th or 5th round-he played a game or two for me last year-he can look lazy on the ice but he's just dealing with all the extra ice-I imagine he'll head to Beardy's Blackhawks AAA that's where most of the Meadow Lake boys go to play trips. I imagine the Iron boy and RedIron will both get drafted too.
