I wonder how the pioneers made it. getting dark at 5 and not getting tired till 10 absolutely SUCKS with no power!!

They did'nt have over a dozen kids by mistake it was from evening entertainment.

I wondered ' why' jigs, of all people, even asked that question!!! :lol: :lol:

yes, ol Kola offered me on heck of a deal, a visit with her, lunch with Ted, and some nice genetics...... but she won't send me a picture of her first.....

loomixguy, that pizza was the cats meow. we had run out of stuff to eat that did not require cooking. well we had icecream, but it just was not sounding too good at the time!

Well Jigs...despite the power outage and the hassle of fighting the ice, I'm sure your bride loved having you around more... And what woman wouldn't want a generator for Christmas????lol Heck I got coveralls for Valentines day one year..now that's luv!...Glad to see ya back here though, I was wondering how you had faired the storm...

We got at least 5 inches on the ground here in town right now....11:20pm, Dec. 14.

snow is fine but the crap is sitting on 1/2 inch of ice!

I can not believe this weather- all the snow and ice that is going to all you guys south and east of us- and we're sitting up here with brown bare ground...Whatever skiff of snow we had is leaving today-- temp only got down to 24 last night- and today at noon it is already 42 degrees with 30 mph west Chinook winds.... And the weather boys are predicting this weather pattern could stay like this thru the end of the month

I definitely am not complaining--I keep forgetting to take a camera when I haul water (lucky I even remember the water :roll: ) over to one old gimpy cow- but some of those cows are roly-poly fat- just grazing hay meadows with no supplement...Sure makes it easier on the haystacks...
