Went to the 3 I show today in Dodge City. They had the Budweiser Clydesdales there. THey are some impresive animals. I didn't find out what they weighed, but they are even larger than I imagined. My great uncle used to feed with some big horses, they would look like minnies next to these. They get treated like kings as well. From their stall to the ac semi trailers that haul them.

I had friends who lived in Saint Louis for a while and it was on my list to get out there to see the city and Grant's farm. Unfortunately, they were transferred to DC before I got out there, so I never made it to the farm to see the Budweiser Clydesdales.

Their breeding program seems second to none and the selection process is rigorous, which has turned the horses into an American icons and to me, exude raw power, beauty and grace all in one package.

how was the show? we forgot about it...would like to go, but so dang hot!!.. plus the fact that we are sending hay into that area, my drivers would see me down there screwing off the day and get irritated...

I heard it wasn't very good. Not a lot of people and there weren't any out of state tags. Sounded like a bunch of women booths

I would say about a normal for 3 i show. Way too hot. You park half to three quarter mile away and bus's haul you back and forth. I just walked in because you would have to wait at least 30 min because of the line. the building was nice but no ac it was actually nicer outside. I guess they are going to get it ac for nrxt year. It is wide open though not crowded and packed like in garden city. Over all it was ok not as impressive as they built it up to be. After going to Husker Harvest Days any other show is dissapointing though. We just came down to go to the casino anyway we never go anywhere so spent one night had a good time.
