Wasteful programs are wrong, very wrong. Filling someone's pockets with my tax money is CRIMINAL.
And no, the government should never be designed to be the care giver of all citizens.
1. Do not use Medicare. I don't. I pay for my own medical care and several others.
2. Do not use Social Security. It won't be there, so again- not a problem. Why is the money not still in the account that was not suppose to be touched for anything else?
3. Do not become a member of the US military, who are paid with tax dollars. Military members have given their lives for the protection of our country. They are being paid for their service, a "real job". Some taxes are necessary. Not excessive!
4. Do not ask the National Guard to help you after a disaster. Government controlled disaster relief has become wasteful. Time after time, it is proven that citizens will help themselves more efficiently. Allow volunteers to be volunteers. Anyone remember Texas wildfires and FEMA?
5. Do not call 911 when you get hurt. 911 is a tax charged by local governments. If California want's to squander their local tax dollars- I don't care.
6. Do not call the police to stop intruders in your home. Again, local taxes with local effect. The local citizens can determine the need and efficient use of their own money.
7. Do not summon the fire department to save your burning home. Local.
8. Do not drive on any paved road, highway, and interstate or drive on any bridge. Any paved road? Most of these are local. Only interstates are maintained by federal government. And why? So that we have quick routes to mobilize our military.
9. Do not use public restrooms. Local and really how many are there? I say to you boy geniuses out there that don't like corporations- don't use McDonald's, Burger King's, Subway's, lets shorten this list to just encompass all restaurants, clothing stores, automotive stores, let's shorten this again and just say any business' bathrooms when a public one isn't available.
10. Do not send your kids to public schools. Local issue.
11. Do not put your trash out for city garbage collectors. I pay the city to pick up my trash each month. I paid someone else, when I lived in a rural area- not much difference. I would be happy to have an option for private competition.
12. Do not live in areas with clean air. Now your claim the air? Pretty sure God made the air and you don't have a thing to do with it.
13. Do not drink clean water. Local. I PAY the city for more water. I have also drilled water wells. Did you clean my water?
14. Do not visit National Parks. Don't tax me for National Parks I don't get to visit. And then don't double charge me for the ones when I do.
15. Do not visit public museums, zoos, and monuments. Again, don't charge me for the ones I don't get to visit. And then don't double charge me for the ones when I do.
16. Do not eat or use FDA inspected food and medicines. I'm actually okay with food inspection as a part of national security. The mammoth that the FDA has grown into requiring millions of dollars to be spent to get approval of any new drug is ridiculous and adds more the cost of our health care than most realize. Also, there has been numerous instances showing the FDA stopping the use of appropriate generic drugs to provide a monopoly to one player.
17. Do not bring your kids to public playgrounds. Local and don't charge me for the play grounds I don't use.
18. Do not walk or run on sidewalks. Local- we don't have them or need them.
19. Do not use public recreational facilities such as basketball and tennis courts. Local, and we don't have them. So apparently we don't need them.
20. Do not seek shelter facilities or food in soup kitchens when you are homeless and hungry. What are churches for? Don't tax me into oblivion and I can do more to help the needy in my area than the government can any day. Give me back my money, give them back their freedom from being dependent on the government, and we will cross paths. When we do, not only can I assist them in their physical needs, but there will be a chance to have a social connection as well. With this social connection, much more can occur, including an opportunity to share faith and give someone hope. With hope, anything can be accomplished.
21. Do not apply for educational or job training assistance when you lose your job. I found another job. And then I created my own. Much happier because of it.
22. Do not apply for food stamps when you can’t feed your children. I found a job. Not my favorite, but it was a job and I fed my own family.
There is something good in that. There is something good in being productive. There is something good in helping someone that is down on their luck and knowing that someone (a real live person) cares. Faceless stamps don't make the hurt of a loss job go away. Faceless stamps won't help you get another job. Faceless stamps won't give you guidance when your most ready to heed it. Everyone thinks that technology is the reason for the collapse of personal interaction. I believe it is the dependance of people on the government.
23. Do not use the judiciary system for any reason. There again you have missed the boat. The judiciary system is part of the minimal government. There has always been a need for arguments to be settled since the creation of the second person. I say, limit the frivolous law suites.
24. Do not ask for an attorney when you are arrested and do not ask for one to be assigned to you by the court. Local issue again dude.
25. Do not apply for any Pell Grants. Don't give out any Pell Grants. Is the recipient going to pay ME back?
There is the first 25. Pretty easy stuff the handle. Yes, a significant reduction in the Federal government could be made and the United States would not fall off the face of the Earth. It would actually be a much better place to live.

37. Do not ask the military to defend your life and home in the event of a foreign invasion.
38. Do not use your cell phone or home telephone.

70. Do not ask the Army Corps of Engineers to rebuild levees when they break.
71. Do not let the Coast Guard save you from drowning when your boat capsizes at sea.
72. Do not ask the government to help evacuate you when all hell breaks loose in the country you are in.
73. Do not visit historic landmarks.
74. Do not visit fisheries.
75. Do not expect to see animals that are federally protected because of the Endangered Species List.
76. Do not expect plows to clear roads of snow and ice so your kids can go to school and so you can get to work.

79. Do not use public transportation.
80. Do not drink water from public water fountains.
81. Do not whine when someone copies your work and sells it as their own. Government enforces copyright laws.
82. Do not expect to own your home, car, or boat. Government organizes and keeps all titles.
83. Do not expect convicted felons to remain off the streets.
84. Do not eat in restaurants that are regulated by food quality and safety standards.
85. Do not seek help from the US Embassy if you need assistance in a foreign nation.
86. Do not apply for a passport to travel outside of the United States.
87. Do not apply for a patent when you invent something.
88. Do not adopt a child through your local, state, or federal governments.
89.Do not use elevators that have been inspected by federal or state safety regulators.
90. Do not use any resource that was discovered by the USGS.
91. Do not ask for energy assistance from the government.
