Or does everybody think barrel racing is a tad on the dangerous side. I had to run the out gate this wekend for one perf. and that was about all could do to stay put. When them little kids come tearing up to it on a jacked up horse. I'll sort bulls and load broncs any day. I think if the junior bull riders need a helmet so should the jr. barrel racers.

Boy do I agree with you,we seen a young lady on a very hyped up horse run right into the out gate. Ditto on the helmets.

Barrel chasers have probably ran over more cowboys than a bronc has...In more ways than one-can chasers have ruined the career of many a good bronc rider.... :wink:
