Is Nebraska "back"?

Cat fans would love it, but husker fans would go on and on about how the glory days of football, before the big 12, OU and NU played every year and the world stopped to see the game...blah blah blah blah, puke.

when OU was called"the greatest team to EVER pay the game" in 2003, KSU went in, a giant underdog, and manhandled them to a 35-7 defeat.... Stoops would not even admit to getting his ash whooped, it was almost as joyful as Pelini crying about KSU winning by 28 points in lincoln.

You wail and moan about the Huskers and our 40 YEARS of glory days, and then pipe up about your glory DAY?

BTW, the greatest team to ever play was the 2005 Huskers, followed closely by the 83 Huskers (followed by the 97 Huskers, followed by the 71 Huskers) :tiphat:

Sandy, I will give you the 83 Huskers, but 05?? no....I don't think so...

Guest1 isn't a representation of a Husker fan. I'm not sure what he's a representation of.

Worry not, Katrina.......I see Jiggsy face to face often enough to keep his faith in the Purple & Silver pretty shaky. He seems to be too busy to return phone calls, even.

well, you called at a bad time...all my help went to Canada for 2 weeks!! my fat ash was running ragged. now things are getting back to a decent pace....

Katrina, how could I ever forget you??? especially that call to the Dentists office!!

Have I told you about this limited edition "Jigs Creek Cattle Co" hat that I have that has a red "N" embroidered on the side?

Carters teacher was graduate of KS and still couldn't get enough pull to out bid SDSU... Oh well maybe he will transfer later on.... I'm just glad his roomate is a animal science major and not a partier.... Since Carter buried one classmate this summer....

So now I can't pull tricks on jiggsy...Damn...[/b]

Sandhusker, in my eyes, Nebraska "will be back" when they start beating ranked teams on a consistent basis.

I'm not sure were you found that article, but I read one here recently that was on rivals and yahoo.com and this article had a little side note, since the early part of the 2000's, Nebraska has only 2 or 3 wins against teams that were ranked in the top 25 at season's end.

Yep, you're right. When Callahan was coach, we never won a game that we were behind at halftime, either. We're not back yet, but I have no doubt that we're on the right track now. Bo knows football.

QB race takes an interesting twist with Spano going down for the year. Was Spano rushed back too soon? The kid tore his ACL late in the Spring and was "proclaimed back" by the coaches a couple of weeks ago.

Nebraska's QB depth is Lee, who's never taken a snap as a starter at Nebraska, a true freshman with Cody Green and a LB'er turned QB in LaTravis Washington. I think Cody will be just fine, but the lack of experience is an issue. Then again Robert Griffin turned the Big 12 upside down last year.

They thought Spano was good to go, but it does make you wonder. We didn't need to loose him. That probably means no redshirt for Green.
