That is what has chased away quite a few posters. Hard to gain new members when the mods treat them that way, don't you think?
Biased Political views are more than acceptable, but making up stories about those that you do not agree with, kinda ruins the mood.
If Bull Session was moderated like PB, Flounder would be accused of clogging up the forum with fearmongering and Porker would be accused/attacked for being a pig farmer. Not sure who would be the chinese spy, destroying the US with their posts. Everyone else that disagreed with the mod would be accused of being a fake or phony.
But, I'm sure that's a mod's job, and we should be thankful someone is willing to take on the responsibility.
But instead of letting the issue die, why not run your poll, and see what comes of it.
It will entice many new posters to the site, for sure.

I haven't voted, but I actually don't have a problem with OT's moderating and have said so in the past. As for what he post, I'm still somewhat undecided as to whether he believes everything he post or, as he has said, he does it to "stir things up"...after all, Macon probably gets paid more for more traffic on the site. OT has trashed enough folks that he has no ground to stand on to complain about anyone attacking his family...but I still think those type of attacks are wrong and Pig Farmer shouldn't.

Poll will run until everyone has their say,I dont know if you have ever been involved in a poll I run,but always give every man/woman equal opurtunity to vote/voice their opinion,then use cowboy rithmatic to tally the results.

HM, just to give you some "flavor", here's an exchange I had with OT just 2 days after joining this place. And again, other than questioning his logic in another thread on the political forum, I don't believe I had had a cross word with the guy.

Well OT, you'll learn as you watch my posting habits that I call 'em like I see 'em, left or right, conservative or liberal.
You make some rather sweeping judgments about my personal life decisions, and what I "claim" to be, without knowing very much about me at all, especially what made me want to settle in Venezuela. Well, she was murdered over two years ago and was the love of my life. Her family (now my family) literally saved my life from the terrible, debilitating depression I sank into after her loss and I'll forever be grateful to them. But that's really a story for another day.
You also make some rather sweeping comments about Chavez and Venezuela, again, probably without fully understanding the history and culture of this country. Venezuela is not a communist country as you claim. Chavez was elected democratically as best anyone can tell. And living here, working with the citizens, I can honestly say that he is on average probably much more respected than Bush ever was or Obama ever will be. I don't agree with much of what he says or does, but I do agree with some of the things he's trying to do to help the poorest of the poor. I need not apologize to anyone for that.
I also note you failed to quote my comments of approval of Obama's decision to embrace and follow much of the Bush/Cheney doctrine as it relates to the war on terror. He surprised me there I must admit, but like I said, I give credit where credit is due.
Even though I don't know you or anyone else here yet for that matter, your post was surprising to me. It's got a really bitter tone to it. I'm not sure what I've done to you to earn such bitterness on your part, other than perhaps not agreeing with you on some political issues. I hope I'm wrong about that bitterness.
Having said all that, you can still count on me to post honestly and can consider me a friend if you so chose. :wink:
Not meant to be bitter- and something that some have discussed with me on PM's since you showed up- and the Hypocrit multi person website is such a tyrannical pushing for the overthrowal of the US government- and noone can figure out where these anonymous folks are coming from.... :???: But I do think its very ironic that you think so highly of the Chavez government- and Chavez-- when the rightwingernuts on this site went absolutely bonkers when Obama dared look at the man or shake his hand when they met at a conference....
So what is your feeling- we should support the overthrowal of- or invade Venuzuela as a communist country - or should we establish a repore with them :???:
