We pretty much raise everything we eat. A while back we ran out of hamburger. Other half got some at the grocery store. Must of been road kill. We ended up giving it to the dog. As for chicken, I keep the chicken and eat the eggs. Got food poisioning from store bought chicken 30 years ago and haven't had any since. :lol: :lol: Next thing ya know....they will be turning chickens black so they can charge more money for them :shock:

Bin there, done that. When cooking, it smelled so bad we couldn't eat it. Makes me wonder 2 things - what they do to it to spoil it, and how much meat the stores could sell if they had the same quality that we sell direct off the farm.
