Over the weekend we had a very nice rain. I think the majority of the area got it. At the ranch, we got 1.2 inches and I don't think any of it ran off. It came at a perfect time. We were needing some moisture and the cool season grasses was just beginning to head out. Now we will have a pretty good hay crop. All it takes is a little rain at the right time. :)

What did everyone else get?

.25 inch- with an occasional shower hitting us still- and they are predicting chances of showers all week....Cool morning- still only 49...

17.5..........drops. Dust is still flying. Hay crops here are done in most areas. Lots of folks have turned cows into them a few weeks back. Cow and pair numbers coming to auction are rising, and will continue to do so until we get some substantial rains.

Don't know exactly but i think we got less than you,i think we only got 12 drops between the wind blowing.Went to a cow calf sale on friday and pairs were bringing $1000 to $1100,couple guys were saying what a good deal that was.Yeah maybe,if you have grass to feed them!!

Guy across the road got a load of black heifers yesterday that came out of Vermilion. The trucker said that the sales yard runs are getting bigger every week.

These heifers were 1 iron calves about 740lbs. and will make some smashing, good looking mommas down the road. We are getting rain here but it is too cool to grow much. Frost last Wednesday night . . . .

Got an inch here since Friday evening. All of it soaked in. Sun is playing peek-a-boo today.

Hope you folks who need it get some precip soon.

We haven't got a drop in the last two weeks and it shows now. All of the local ranchers are talking about the 2005 drought now heading into our dry season it don't look good. Luckly we haven't build our herd back yet like it was so we maybe ok this time around. A gulf storm would be nice now.

Last Monday: 2.80"
Tuesday .20"
Friday 1.20"
Sunday .15"
Currently light rain and by the radar will for a while. This is my guage only, we have a 1/2 circle of hay down that got hailed last Mon. night. It has almost 2" more than that on it. It took three days to cut, who knows how long to bale? FWIW this week has surpassed at least 4 years this century.

Sometimes life has it's nicest surprises when you least expect them. Forecast today was 30% chance of scattered showers. Just nicely got our oats and peas seeded this afternoon and were getting a good rain! We'll see what it adds up to but any is welcome. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You guys are making me jealous. Haven't seen a drop since we got 1.1 inches about 2 weeks ago, things are drying out pretty good already. Sure could use a good 3 day soaker right now, it would make all the difference.

Geez Silver now even you are making me jealous, besides the 12 drops on the weekend along with the wind.Haven't seen any rain since last fall.I'm glad you guys are getting the rain though,no sense in us all being in this bad a shape.

Wheeeeee Doggies, is it ever raining right now. :D :D :D :D :D :D Two lightning strikes close enough that the power bar on the TV snapped so I unplugged it. The dogs are hiding under every available hidey hole.

Ler er' rip. Thanks Lord for getting the silage crop seeded yesterday.

This calls for supper in town. :D
