just light rain here so far. looks like on the radar the snow is getting dangeroulsy close to the MT/SD border so it might not be long. the temp is just above freezing.

2 inches here last night but it is in the process of melting as I type. Over 1/2" of rain yesterday then turned to snow after dark. Looks like fall might be officially over.

Had a bit of snow the other day, but its mostly gone now. -10C this morning with the first hoarfrost and fog for the season. Only -5C now, but it looks cold outside. :(

I'm sure glad I don't live down south where all that winter weather resides. Next time we get snow I'm going to blame the weather on the Americans like OT does the Canadians.  Where did this one come from OT? The Russians? :-)

Sun shining, dry, 70 degrees. :D :D We have had just a beautiful fall. After constant rain all summer, it turned dry for harvest and field work and now there is time to fix terraces, waterways, fences, you name it. However, the weather people are talking about some rain showers for the rest of the week and getting cooler.

I guess we'll have to split the difference on this one- they are calling the cold a Canadian cold front- but the moisture moved in out of the southwest

We only got a sprinkle of rain last night- no snow- and now the sun is shining...Temp is only 38 and the wind is blowing 30 mph out of the NW off a Saskatchewan snow bank-- but elseways its a pretty nice day... :)

I had to go almost to the Canadian line this morning- and never saw anywhere that got any snow that stayed..

About time you joined the party, Justin.
I went to town  , woo, the roads weren't good
and town has more snow than we do. They sent the country
kids home at 1:30 and cancelled the basketball game
with Wibaux. It has to be bad to cancel a ball game here...
It was 32-36 degrees most of the day with not much wind and
this snow is really WET. Be interesting to see what tomorrow
brings.

It actually turned out to be a nice day here weather wise.

I butchered a beef this morning and put the guts at our puppy feeding station. Went to a book signing for one of the old time locals in town. ( FH, you two have a Christmas present coming)
Gone 3 hours, came home and the puppies had the fresh gut pile cleaned up. :x How those SOB's know is beyond me. :???:

Did you leave the puppies a suprise in their dinner? It would sure be fun to have been in a tree stand with my .270 while you were off buying books.

I wish you would have been too. :( If we had stayed home and waited for them they would not have come close.

No surprises.

No surprises.

So, what is the book about? A new Cherry County (Nebraska) history book, "Sandhills Century Plus 25" is hot off the press, and it is sure interesting reading. Makes is hard to spend much time on Ranchers.Net.

We have 8" of snow and it's still snowing
I just watched Hannity interview GW Bush and now I'm reading
Ralph Moody's book, "Horse of a different color".
If it keeps snowing like it is now, we could have a foot of
white stuff in the morning.

Gcreek, thanks for thinking of us.............. :D

We picked up the book, "Beyond the Chilcotin" at the
book store in Williams Lake.
