The cows cleaned up there hay quite well. They are getting 30 pounds of hay and two pounds of 20% cake per head per day.

This was where they were fed the day before.

They are hoping to get some more hay while I am here.

Cows are looking good.

Great coffee table leg, for sure. Wonderful work!

Whose table?

A neighbor found an old historic door out of a less-than-reputable place of business, and he wanted Sparky to build a coffee table from the door. Knowing where the door originally came from, my suggestion was to get some dress shop mannequin female legs to hold the table up off the floor, but these legs of twisted steel were already in the making. :-)

Great pictures, cows are looking good. Nice to see them doing the work for you - nutrients all out where they belong for example! Nice to see your family all doing well! Enjoy your Dad, you are fortunate to be able to do so . . .

Everybody is looking well. :D :D

If it was me it would be a one legged table because if I could make one leg like that I could never duplicate it.

Nothing wrong with 4 unique legs. :)

Sounds like an interesting project Soap.

On something like that 4 unique legs would look pretty good. 8)

I'm not Soapweed, but I have read the book, and it is a good read. I recommend it.

Soapweed, it's had me wondering for a couple of days but why would somebody want a table made with a door off a sale barn?

Just looking at the rather insignificant looking old door, it could just as easily have come from a sale barn as the house of ill reeput where it supposedly came from.

All is looking really good in Nebraska :D . Rest up, calving will be here before you know it!

This is precisely the reason we decided to celebrate three upcoming birthdays now while we had the chance. My sister's is January 22nd, the Kosmo Kid's is February 6th, and my dad's is February 21st. The George Bush book is for my dad. I bought it for two reasons, one, to give it to Dad as a present, and two, to give George Bush another "book vote" in the race that it seems his book and Obama's book seem to informally be having.
