Cornerpostforoutinalake800x600.jpg

Corner post for out in a lake, made from an old auto-gate. These were positioned out on the ice, so they will fall through
in the proper spot whenever the ice melts enough.

Very cool that Sunflower is doing sculpture! What a talented young lady. Have you had the solar pump for quite awhile? Don't think we've seen pictures of it before...course it's not quite as scenic as a windmill. The corner posts for the ponds are interesting...

This solar system was installed this past September. Here are the photos and explanation at that time. It works quite well, but I'm still partial to windmills.

I was recently visiting with a rancher who uses a three pasture rotation in the summer time. He says each pasture has one windmill and one solar pump, with the theory being there is usually either sunshine or wind, if not both. I think he is right.

Good lookin hay, cute kids, beautiful sculpture / sculptor (sculptress ?), pretty ingenious design for an aquatic corner post and method of deployment ! 8)

Your family certainly has done a great job of making/allowing time to develop the talent God gave you! Even the photography takes more than simply pointing and shooting as most of us do.

Your grandbabies are a little older than ours and I love the glimpses of their development giving me a 'heads-up' on what is ahead with our little great-grand girl.

Do you have any report on that program at Martin livestock? It seems to us that SDSU is doing a good job and am curious what others think of current programs.

Thanks for sharing! Does look like fun critters to have around!... :D Can't imagine being able to sculpt that! Having hay like that on the place sure is a nice feeling!

we've been paying $125-$160/ton delivered. i also bought some barley straw for about $80/ton deliverd. i've found a fair amount of "reasonably" priced hay in ND and Canada, but if a person isn't careful on the trucking side of things, the hay can get pretty spendy, pretty quick.
