We've had a 6410 for about ten years. I call it the "Old Chevy" as it is kind of a nickle and dimer.

Anyone have any input on a 2009 6430? Good or bad...........................

Thanks in advance.

So did you make a decision yet based at least in part on all our helpful input? :D

Yes, I weighed all the evidence and appreciated all the info given. Thanks to all.

It gets here in about 10 days or so. I also updated one of my 535 balers to a low "milage" 567. I will keep both 535's as the one is more valuable as parts than trade or resale.

I hope they work well for you. I have an old 530 that I resurrected a few years ago with a pickup and other parts off a 567 that the neighbours burnt down. It been a great second baler and as it's market value is about $0 I'll keep it for that until it self destructs then give it a proper burial. I'm also shopping for a low mileage JD 567 or 568 to replace the 566, but that might wait until fall. They seem to be hard to find right now.
We did pick up a new NH 313 discbine this spring, looks like a pretty good machine. They are starting to look more like a JD all the time. Anyone used one of these yet or heard how they are?

I have a nh 313 setting in the shed also haven't used yet. I hope it's a good machine. One belt no chains and no pump to mess with. Mine has steel crimpers what do you have on yours?

Rubber rolls on this one, and I must say I was a little hesitant about them. My JD had flails and I was pretty partial to them.

You will like the rubber rolls. More power will go to the cutter bar and ground speed. Those flails use a lot of HP.

My memory of steel rolls goes back to a worn out Hesston PT10 that spent an hour in the shop every morning welding cracks up. Soured me on ever trying them again. We have 2 1411 NH discbines. They are tough and cut well. They say Kuhn makes a good cutter also.
