My next youngest brother and a couple of his buddies went to see JJW playing at Astroworld in Houston probably 1980 or so. They were on the front row and kept after him to play "P---in' in the Wind" and he told them "I cain't do that , boys, I got in trouble for that one last time." They kept after him till he broke down and played it anyway.
At the end of the show, he flung his hat out in to a big pool where divers dove 90' off a tower. My brother was fixin to jump over the rail and jump in and swim for it but a security guard faced him down. He said later he wished he'd a just went on in after it cause it woulda been worth the trouble.

The chorus to P...in' in the Wind goes through this twisted little mind every time something doesn't go quite as planned. :lol:

Saw Jerry Jeff at Red Ants Pants Festival in White Sulphur Springs MT summer of 2011........hadn`t seen him since the 80`s.......he`s still got it!! Did an hour long set & had the crowd rockin` with the old hits mixed in with a few ballads. Not bad for 71!
