Are you interested in this mare Katrina? The Impressive is a major turnoff for me. The price they are asking seemed high also. We have a couple of mares for sale right now that, in my opinion are bred better and cheaper priced. We all have our different likes and dislikes though. $2500 still seems kinda pricey for a 16 year old mare considering the market.

Very true. I told the "Hostile Native" about the mare and when she heard "Impressive" her ears sure perked up. She really likes that line. She used to have a mare with that lineage and we argued about her all of the time. But don't listen to me, I like "Hancock" and one of my using horses is out of buckin'stock.

Must be a girl thingy... Been a long time since I've seen impressive on the papers...... Horses are either really good or terrible. It would be fun to breed her..... If she looks good....

LOL. You are bound and determined to make me pick on you Katrina. Luckily the Impressive mare we had turned out to be a poor mother with a dinky colt. This along with her bad feet strengthened my argument enough that I finally got the Native to get rid of her. We ended up giving her away. I had a very bad experience once with an Impressive horse and almost got killed. Good luck though and if she is right for you, I hope you can get her bought.

Hee Hee....... :P I'm just looking..... I really would much rather have a big black mare at least 15 3' or taller.... either some racing blood or some cowblood.

You should see the mare we just made a deal on. Big dark brown/black TB mare. Won a little over 10K on the track. I could go on about her lines, but it would take a while. I'm trying to figure out when I can get down to Ok to pick her up. I had a breeding to a son of Streakin Six out of a Raise Your Glass mare. I didn't want to use such a good chance on our cowhorse mares. Hopefully we will get a stud colt and he will be the new man about town around here. I'm thinking the speed and added endurance will cross good on our mares. Who knows? Maybe I'll finally be able to have a chariot racing team. If you get that Impressive mare, make sure that she is tested for the defect that crops out in that line. I can't recall the name of it right now, but AQHA will be able to steer you right.

Sounds like a good deal...... Actually a really good deal.... I've got a friend who works in Goodwell OK. That comes home with horses all the time. Let me know if I can help.. I'd even keep her till you could come and get her.. Course if she would accidentally get bred to a local stud....... You know I would have to buy that colt..............

Speaking of colts............. I stopped at my locat vet/horse breeder and they had a 17 year old mare with a preamy colt at her side down with colic..... Didn't sound good...... Colt was suppost to be born in May.... They had been up all night with this mare and colt. All I could do was give her a hug..... And I thought I had it bad this morning....

Thanks for the offer, but I need to go that way anyhow to see family. As far as this mare being accidentally bred, I'm gonna fire up the forge and make her a chastity belt. Don't need any accidents. The colt she's carrying is eligible for Ok bred racing futurities and I'm planning on send it back down for training when its old enough.

Katrina,
My sorrel mare I call Reba has Impressive on both sides of her pedigree. I sure have liked her but she isnt as cowy as I like. But she's been a great horse thus far. :D

Damn Katrina, you just keep diggin' that hole a little deeper. My ex was a leggy redhead with nice lines. Lots of fun to look at and not a brain in her head. Care to venture a guess as to her name?

Hell No!!!! :P :P  :pretty:

June Holmans horse she took to the NFR was a sparky impressive bred horse... Ray Sutton talked and talked to get me to take one of them home.... :cowboy:

Let's just say that she has two knees that absolutely hate each other. If you ever need to put that mare down, let me know.

The Native told me to be nice and quit pickin on you and to wish you good luck in your Impressive endeavors. So good luck. Damn that was hard to say.

Let me do some checkin. I'm on my way out again, but when I get back in this evening I'll make a call. I think I know where there is a filly that is right down your alley. A friend owns the sire and we've thought about bringing him up here. All foundation bred, palomino, good mind and good looks. Out of halter lines. This stud is awesome. I've ridden him on the ranch and raised a gelding of his. If you like'em pretty, you'll like this line. I need to see if the little filly is still available. PM tonight. Have a great day.
