Give them enough rope and maybe they will hang themselves.
Wegotthisdinnerbellforaweddingpresent800x600.jpg

We got this dinner bell for a wedding present in 1979. It has worked very well for calling cowboys and critters to dinner ever since.
It even seems to attract grasshoppers.
Ohdeertheyreeverywheer800x600.jpg

Oh deer, they are everywheer.

Ishejustbrown800x600.jpg

Is this a copper deficiency, or is he just brown? Having known him all his life, I will say he is just naturally brown.

Antelope checking me out
Coolclearwater800x600.jpg

Cool clear water
Thislittlepotholeinthepasture800x600.jpg

This little pothole in a far away pasture caused a long cold walk many years ago. It was iced over, but the ice broke as I drove across it.
The nose of the pickup was in clear to the headlights. The Kosmo Kid was only about six years old, and he and I had to walk home five miles,
then go back and pull out the pickup before it froze in for the night. Because I was dumb, the Kosmo Kid had to be tough.
Stillwaterinthispond800x600.jpg

Still water in this pond
Sunflowersandpoppies800x600.jpg

Wishtherewasamarketforgrasshoppers800x600.jpg

Wish there was a market for grasshoppers. Maybe this ranch could be profitable.
ButIdidgetrevenge800x600.jpg

But I did get my revenge.

You need to raise a thousand head of turkeys. I have been told they like grasshoppers. You could maybe even get a job custom grazing them.

I was thinking the same thing  a bunch of turkeys would have a field day with all those grasshoppers!

Always enjoy your pictures!

The "wild" turkeys aren't doing much to control the grasshopper population around here. The other day we counted over 400 turkeys, and we have hoppers every bit as bad as Soap does.

You certainly have more than your share of 'hoppers, Soap. In trying
to get rid of them, we had a friend who put some in a plastic bag
and put them in the freezer. A few days later he thawed them out and
they were still alive.............I think the last things on this earth
will be 1)the coyote 2)the grasshopper 3)leafy spurge....

I just love that dinner bell. I always wanted one, always.......closest
we came was the triangle with the 'thing' you hit it with to call everyone
to dinner, and now I don't know what happened to that. But dinner bells,
PRICELESS!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you keep us updated with pictures of the grandkiddies. They
are so darn cute!!! They will keep grandpa and gramma really busy in
a couple of years. Let the fun begin!!!!!!!!

Our grandson will be 18 in August and while we are so proud of him,
we're sad that he's that old already. The years go by so fast.
