Guichon Creek was pretty high on June 2nd due to 6+ inches of rain from the previous 2 weeks. It is usually 4 feet wide and a foot deep by then.

Road finally dried up enough to haul heifers to pasture at Morrison Meadow on June 4rth and 5th. These were taken yesterday. Still wet everywhere.

Hay is growing.

Is the "new and improved Photobucket always this painful? 30 minutes to post 5 photos.

Hope you enjoy what little I came up with. :D

Thank-you for the picture's Gcreek, always enjoy seeing your part of the world. You would think that with all of the techno-geeks around that they could figure out a better/easier way to post pic's, that's for sure :???:

i believe that it is definitely having an effect on our weekly photo contest

Great pictures, and your country sure looks green.
Do you haul the heifers yourself, or hire it done? Can you get big trucks around in that area? Not that it makes any difference, just curious. We live right on a state highway, that goes nowhere, but that last couple weeks, there have sure been a lot of cow trucks going by.

And yea photobucket is a bunch harder to use then it used to be

We haul them to pasture ourselves in 12-13,000 lb loads. It would cost $1400 in travel time for the nearest pot to move cattle 9 miles. It was suggested by a helpful neighbor that we could have trailed them. Not through 2 bunches of cows and no fences thank you!

When we are selling or buying we hire the hauling done.

Jody, morning temps have been a few degees celcius north or south of freezing. Just like always. :D
