just a few pix from the demodriver!!

finally got my camera downloaded from her trip to washington d.c.....hell, she took over 150 pictures and most are simply amazing!! thought I'd take the time to post a few and then she can explain more when she gets home from her friend's house tomorrow!! Hope ya enjoy them!!

demodriver and a friend she made are on their way to see the play "Shenandoah"

okay...this one is about a month old when demodriver was getting ready for her junior prom!! had me in tears when I realized that she was not my baby-girl in pigtails anymore!!

the washington memorial and "the pond"

a far-view of Arlington Cemetary....she said it was so quiet and sad that you could actually feel the emotions of what the cemetary represented!

a few momentos left behind at the Vietnam War Memorial..another "tear jerker" for demodriver

more of the vietnam memorial...gus said she was amazed at the numbers of men who lost their lives over there

demodriver (4th from left) and most of her classmates...I think they were at Gettysburg this day!

the capital dome...absolutely amazing!!

feeding the "prom group" at my house....steak, chicken and alfredo noodles! mmmmmm!

A pretty daughter you've got there Ranchwife and I have no doubt she is a really a nice girl.
I've got a granddaughter that's probably a little older than her, one several years younger, and one in her middle twenties. All beautiful, bright girls, prouder than punch of all of them and love them dearly.

she and her prom date/best buddy...the ONLY way to go...they had a blast!!

ya know, folks...I TOLD HIM SO....he did not believe me that he broke it when he tried fence-diving from an angry mama!!

not sure about this one in DC...gonna have to have her explain when she gets home

at the "after prom party" they had "sumo wrestler suits"...this is demodriver getting ready to tackle her "opponent" :lol:

That prom dress showed way too much skin. Next time I'm in Billings I'm going to stop in at Granny's Attic and pick out some proper attire for next year :wink: I'm glad Gus got to go to DC, too bad we can't make it mandatory for anyone to have to walk through Arlington before they get the right to vote. I wish I had more pictures from there, I took my 35 MM camera, not a digital. All of the film went through the xray machines so many times that most of the pictures are fuzzy or did not turn out at all.

sw- I agree with you there....I could spend days in both Arlington and Gettysburg just looking and reminiscing about the history and pride that are buried there....

Definitely a must see for all Americans if they get the chance...

How did she like Gettysburg? We went to the Shilo Battelfield and I found it overwhelming all of the history that happened in one place. I would loveto see the battlefield at Gettysburg.
