Make a long story short.... when yer buffalo escape around these parts, this is what happens to 'em. There is actually 12 on the ground at once, but nobody thought to zoom out and get them all at once. This was taken in October.

Silver; You're welcome to bring your whole crew down our way; neighbour seems to think that bison don't recquire any management or feed............dogs can move the young buffs that fencecrawl but the big ones chase back a little too hard!! Those old bulls will come right after a quad or saddlehorse........whole works are too thin to butcher! He's trying to run a hundred head yearround on a half section. I can't believe the damage hungry buffs can do to a pasture.......pure nuke! :???: :???: :evil:

Cowsense maybe it's time to defend yourself from buffalo attack every chance you get. Sounds like you'd be doing the bufflalo a favor if they were put down. Where's the SPCA when you need them?

I only had to rifle one so far around here-a big bull running my cows-cost me two slipped calves. I've never seen anything drop so fast-I must of hit him just right I guess. Buffalo tastes like OLD beef cow to me lol.

Someone had some get out around here a few years back. They were shot as well, owner didn't know how to catch them and neighbors/police didn't want to deal with em. Bam.. Bam... No more Buffs, I think they sent the rest in for slaughter right away as the guy has no more of those critters roaming around..

I had Buff about 3-4 times when I lived out west. Burger was drier than dry and wouldn't hold together because it was so lean, Loin was tough but tasty (Chico Hot Springs) and than I had some in a stew that was okay (Gateway Inn).. Now when people try to tell me that it is better than beef the first thing I ask is have they ever had any? Usually you get a reponse that they had a burger some place... Bet there was a binder in there.. Than I tell em to pony up for a steak and see if they change their mind... To think I could have eaten beef that night..Oh well, the folks were paying, not me.
