That first one looks almost like ancient ruins of a large city, especially that 'top layer' standing like old pillars that are still standing while the rest of the 'building' fell to dust.

We had an opportunity to tour some of the western states a couple of years ago and it is absolutely beautiful. We managed to see most of the parks (Zion, Capital Reef, Arches, etc) and last stop was Moab. What a great trip. Didn't see a lot of ranches and wondered how may acres does it take to run one cow? Yes, we did see nice looking ranches down in the valley's but not like in Texas. Looking forward to the next trip.
