the fella i bought his purebred herefords from phoned just now. i offered to summer his 6 head of yrlng replacements with my heifer bull last year. he helped me preg check the group. one of his heifers was quite a bit later than the rest and i remember telling him that she was either just barely bred or could have a uterine infection. well she calved the other day and he says on the phone that when we preg checked she was 5 days bred going off a gestation table. i wonder how many times out of 10 she would have been called open.
