Kola is right

We have never seen a case here. I asked our vet why we haven't seen it and he said its because of our elevation. We live at 7200 feet. Some folks here don't even vaccinate their horses. I do just in case.

Us too...we are at 7730 and never had a case in our county unless the horse or person got it visiting somewhere else. We don't vaccinate for it. Where you at? I figure WY or CO with elevation? We are in western WY

The elevations here can go from 3ft above sea level to 4,700+ feet, so we run the tape on that issue.

It seems to be a matter of exposure, built up over years.

According to your link/map there has onlyy been 4 cases in my whole state for the year of 2013. And those in the middle and lower part of the state.
