The final day of Calgary got switched from Bold to the main network in the transition we lost Cody Snyder rodeos most ignorant commentator and gained Bob Tallman one of rodeos best. The special features were awesome the tribute to Grated Coconut was pefect and it was nice to see Dave Shields Sr. get some accolades-he's a great guy and has really helped Ty out in rodeo. Anybody who didn't choke up when the interviewed Tammy Key Fisher doesn't have a functioning heart. the finally four wagon race was good-Chad Harden deseved his win and to do it off number four barrel made it more awesome.

The best cowboys on the best stock is hard to beat. K.C Fields almost got Grated Coconut covered but he slapped him-Taos Muncy rode Cool Alley to win the broncs and J.B Mauney rode Wrangler Rock Star to win the bulls.

Lost our channels from Canada too. :( :( :(
Pretty much lost all TV except for video's and DVD's.

I would have loved to watched the Calgary Stampede.
Miss the Red Green show too.

I loved the tribute to grated coconut and the accolades to his mom as well. They are quite the athletic family for sure.

The best part was when Chad Harden won the chucks.. :D

I thought the whole coverage was done very well the best in years that I can remember. Tammy Key Fisher who won the barrel racing made me cry, what a heart retching story.

You gotta love the Calgary Stampede..

I know NR, when Chad drew #4 my heart sank and I thought he'd be done for..

You know what I loved about the whole thing the most is the camaraderie they all have , kinda gives me hope in mankind again..

Now that it is over what is there to watch on TV anymore.. :???:

Too funny to watch Mark fall off his bench trying to back up his horses. One second is a whole bunch in wagon racing. The best man won that race.

It was just like coming home having Bob back doing the commentating yesterday. I hope to never have to listen to that Cody fella again. I never minded watching him ride bulls, but it turns out watching and listening are two different things.
Sure wish I had Bold on my satellite, had to stay up pretty late to watch in re-run on CBC, got really late by the time the decision came in.

we flipped back to bold after the rodeo was over to try and catch the last of the wagons and they had highlights of the rodeo with cody announcing and i had to turn it off... i couldn't agree more NR with your observation and you hit the nail on the head about tallman

For those of you that didn't get to see it, I posted the barrel racin from the final day over in Coffee Shop under the title "On the wings of an Angel" but...if you wanna see the runs, and the interview with Tammy Key-Fischer go to her website in the video gallery. It uploads alot better than the original I posted.

I hope you mean it, per. CUz next year we ARE going to Canada and
would love to make your place one of those to visit.

I'm serious. I've wanted to do this for a long time, as BMR and
NR know. It's going to be so much more fun to stop at where I
feel like we know someone and get to take a real look at the
country. I'm counting the days!

And thank you!

Absolutely, my wife needs notice, I say come anytime. It is in both of our interests to follow her protocol.
