We rode several days last week, got all the cows in the last pasture before coming home, found one calf all by herself...mighty glad to see the cows!

At the top of the hill...they really didn't want to go, had plenty of grass where the road was.

Opened the gate for the cows to come home on friday, they were all home by yesterday afternoon. Mike even found another steer calf! They had lots of feed left but the water is iffy this time of year. Supposed to be in teen during the days for next week so just as soon they are home.

Thanks for the pics Nicky, that's some pretty up and down country there,i'almost thought i saw a cow on the rocks there :P ,i was thinking those are some pretty athletic bovines  .

Wow nicky! Great pictures of beautiful Herefords and pretty country. Sure looks like some of ours. Glad ya found the bunch and got em' home. The shot of those sisters stringing around the ridge is worthy of a magazine cover. Better send it to Range! That big culvert brought back memories for me. My dad and I were trying to get to the ranch 15 years or so ago. We had a early spring thunder storm on top of what snow was left and it all came across the desert as a flash flood. We had family and horses at the ranch and they were counting on us to get there with groceries and hay. The Tanner creek is usually a big dry wash but that night it was level full with two culverts like that one blasting water. The water was coming over the road as they couldnt handle it! We made it across but i had to use the shovel to push big ice bergs out of the way. I will never forget the sound and power of that water. Or the sound and power of my Mom cussin' my Dad after she found out how we made it to the ranch to see her & the little brothers! Keep up the good work and pictures! Merry Christmas!

Your cattle do look great! :D BB is right, your cows are athletic... mine would have bovine heart attacks if they had to climb those hills for every blade of grass :D . I'll bet your calves get pretty muscled-up  .

I need to send my horse to you for a few months and then to Leaning H... after the end of that "education", he'd be pretty broke, or pretty dead :D . I've got some hills and rocks to climb, but you can top a hill and travel flat for a bit... that doesn't look like the case for you two... it looks like you're either go up, or going down a hill :D . Looks like fantastic grass country!

That trailing down the side of mountain with all them herfords is an awesome shot! That should be framed fer sure! Luv the sunset photo's too..glad you had a good roundup!

Enjoyed your pictures. That's some rugged looking country and your cows look like they're doing great. Do the wild horses run in the area these picture were taken?
