Here's the one I just got done with.

On a roper foam tree with a cable rigging.

The young feller who ordered this one is going to the Ranch Rodeo Finals in Amarillo in a few days and wanted to take this along. So I been tryin' to get it done for him. Stirrups ain't got here yet so he'll have to use his old ones, but I don't think he'll mind too much.

Another work of art, JB. Do you sign these things like a rockstar?

That sure is a nice Saddle JB... Sure is nice.. How long have you been making them/working with leather? You sir, appear to be a true craftsman.

Thank you and all others who remarked on it.

By the way Il, are you sucking up?

I've been working with leather for about 40 years and building saddles for about 20 years. But I don't make a lot of them as the ranch and everything else takes up most of my time.

I'm not a fast saddle builder or a slow saddle builder. Guess I'm just a half fast saddle builder.

Nice looking saddle.Did you ever get your own built if your like me my own stuff goes undone to build for others.Once again nice job.

Thanks! Both of you.

I'm drinking a cold grape pop! :)

You like grape pop? I'm jealous now, it is a toss up for me between Grape and Black Cherry. Darn you JB now I'm starting to drool over that soda.

have a cold one

Thank you all for the kind compliments.

The young feller was here and got it and just left. Seemed to really like it. Only problem, we had to drink quite a few toasts to the new saddle!

That and his buddy talked me into getting a new pup from him!

Turly a Work Of Art

but I fear that you might get a leg pinched where the finder comes out of the slot in the skirting.

Is it a Full Double Rigging

Great work

Nope, you won't get pinched. Too far down on the side of the seat jockey.

Cable rigging. It can be anything from full to center fire.

Glad you liked the looks of it. :-)
