I am fairly new to the cattle buisness , I was wondering if any one out there ( i guess more the Canadians) knows much about Lazy S BUlls , I run Black angus cows and have been thinking of a Black Simm bull from lazy S bull sale In Alberta at the end of the Month or is just a Angus bull sufficient enough ?? http://www.lazysranch.ca/sales.htm

Mista Donny been promoting has he? :D

I had 3 black Lazy S simmi bulls, got 7 calves in the 2 years they were here. Neighbor has some of the cheaper end red simmis, I can't say that I'm impressed with them either.
Never been to their sale so I would guess they have some good bulls. The ones I've seen are awfully big framed cattle.

There are some good black simmi bulls a lot closer to you at Barrier.

i would have to agree with gcreekrch, but also add that there are several bc breeders with good black simmis here in b.c.depending on your location .they would be an easy days trip from anywhere in b.c

I would suggest sticking to a good Angus bull. Just an opinion from a long time Simmental guy who converted to Angus. If you do cross over make sure to find Fleckvieh blood as in my opinion they are superior to the Swiss variety. Note ... this advise may be worth what you are paying for it, or even less.

I was going to buy a Angus Bull but was influenced LOL towards the simmi , hey Gcreek have you heard good or bad things about KFC bulls , as i am new to this i could use all the advice i can get :-)
