We just watched "The Butterfly" on Youtube (Darrell Holden). We don't subscribe to youtube, but we were able to watch it.
It was good--in case someone wants to watch it. It was from 3 years ago. I didn't take time to check if there
were others by him, but I bet there is. I plan to check it out further so I'll let you know.

I got to see him do that one live. That was at Elko. Not the big show but a little Saturday night gig they invited him to. I think in reality it was an audition for the big show. He led the show off. There was 3 ladies sitting in the front row who watched and listened to him and got up and left when he was done. The rest of the show that night was music which wasn't very good

Yesterday as I was driving down to Homedale ID in search of a tractor part I realize that the plan was to be in Elko on this day. Between feeding cows, buying more cows, calves being born, and dealing with mechanical issues time flew by and I completely forgot. Oh well too late now. Who decided to hold Elko this time of the year? Don't they know cows need to be fed?

So much of this has become "Cowboy Entertainment" Not necessarily for ranchers.
I don't know how some make it to so many functions, Even in the summer some leave Thursday night or early Friday and don't get home until late Sunday night or early Monday morning, Doesn't leave much time for fencing or haying.

I agree, we are usually thankful to make it to church!

B has been busy catching Republican cows with their Democrat calves. The great white cowboy has taken the winter off so lots of them have stayed in the hills. The cows need to come home and the calves weaned before the next round of calves starts in a few weeks. They brought 3 pairs down into my corral this afternoon. One guy on a quad, 2 on horses, and 8 dogs. The cows were out numbered and didn't stand a chance.

That could be a challenging group.

I hadn't thought about the negative side of the good weather causing some of the cows to stay out.
