I have a loader that I am putting on a different tractor. In the past I used a three spool valve, I would really like to get a Joystick control this time. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on what brand to use. I want quality but don't want to break the bank. Thanks

If you have clearance you use the same valves just a different control system - - - I have gone to tractor junk yards and bought the handles with a chunk of steel cheaply and reconfigured 2 so far - - - work great and I try to make them look factory.

On a D17 Allis Chalmers I had to move the factory valves down about 4" on the frame so that the handle would be where I liked it - - - Probably spent a couple of hours adjusting the linkage till I got it where I liked it.

Cost me about a half day of fabricating but little out of pocket.

it is pricey, but I recommend the electric joystick...smooth operating and easy to feather the bucket....

Jigs tell me how you can feather a electric joystick???? It is either open or closed. I have one loader that is all mechanical joystick with 2 sticks and the other loader is mechanail lift and bucket tilt and electric grapple and trust me, there is no feathering the grapple.

I think it is a lot easier to feather with the electric.... so much more reactive to the touch.... the one I am referring to is a John Deere, not an after market electric. I think it is ten times smoother and simpler to operate... but a LOT more expensive

My dad and I both have John Deere loaders with joy sticks. His is electric mine is not. Both are pretty new. The electric is a little easier to feather super slow for trying to line something up you have lifted. Neither on has a feather on the grapple. One nice thing about the manual is you can let it down without the tractor running. Kind of handy once in a while.
