Long Weekend!!

Well we got together for two days and washed and clipped all the calves in the 4H club-lots of work but lots of fun and two awesome potluck suppers lol. Every year there's always 'ONE' bad actor but at least it wasn't one of ours this year. Amazing how getting prssure washed and groomed by a herd of kids and then clipped settles the kettle of mosty calves.

I was at a 4-H get together yesterday. The Brownfield club asked me to come give a grooming/clipping clinic, then we did some showmanship and judging as well. They had me come down to do it last year, so to be asked back I guess I must not have ruffled too many feathers when criticizing kids and calves!lol It was a real fun day. As soon as we were done, 3 of the youngest kids in the bunch came right over to me, stuck out there hands and said "Thank you Mr________ for coming today." They were between 8 and 12....sure is good to see farm kids still have their manners.
