Looking at buying a UTV

Help Support Ranchers.net:

I have two Kawasaki mules I really don't like the 25mph deal and will probably try something that will run faster when I buy again
But I will say they are fair machines, and I wouldn't buy anything without a bench seat
Good luck

my sxs is a geo trakker, cost 1500 eight years ago, with the right wheels and tires it will go anywhere. will go through more snow than any quad or sxs. if you want to get back to nature, take the top's off. has a heater, and can meet your buddies for coffe in town.

I have a 98 Suzki Sidekick. Seats 5, has a great heater, AC works great, gets 15mpg, bouncing through the hills. Runs however fast I want to go, and I am pretty sure I can get more places then most UTVs. Only draw back is I can't get much over about 600 pounds in back.

If she weighs in at over 600 pounds do you really want her back there?

I didn't know you knew my two sister-in-laws - - - but then I think one is down to about 550# now - - - last time we put the other one on the cattle scale she was about 685#

Both are trying to get SS disability for being fat - - - my wife is the only one of 6 kids that has ever held a job.

Lucky for you,you married the right one then!! :D

My wife was 18 and weighed about 99# when we gor married and I was 25 and weighed 156#

Now I'm 170# and she is about 135# - - - not to bad in 39 years!

I also have a 86 nissan pickup which works great for fence work and checking pastures. But when tagging calves just stepping out of a utv would be way easier than opening a door.

A simple session of backing through a gate with the door open for visibility will solve that little paradigm toot-sweet!

A little speed will do the best makeover.

good luck

A guy that I sold hay to a few years ago had a s10 pickup that he used to fix fence with and he just took the doors of it's hinges. I have other uses for another atv or utv they are way more handy to jump in or on to do small things than start and drive around in a pickup.
