snow melted off the valley floor here...still got some white in the moutains!! Sure has the hunting crowd happy!! Right now, the temp is 53 with not even a breeze!! i agree that the moisture is nice!! Anyone heard what the Farmer's almanac is calling for this year?? Just curious!

We ended up with only .05 of rain- no snow- but downright cold...It was 19 this morning and the warmest it got so far today was 38- wind out of the NW blowing 20-30mph -- a little chilly....

Son called this morning and said last night he ran into snow almost all the way from Glendive to Forsyth and that it was still snowing in Forsyth this morning....

Tonite they are predicting record lows- down around 10-12...BRRRRR

I don't know about the Farmers Almanac- but the weather boys say that El Nino has returned- and is strengthening- which is what is causing drought in Australia right now...For us up here in NE Montana that usually means warmer than normal winters- with the West to East flatter jet stream keeping the cold weather up in Canada...And it usually means a dryer, more open winter- with the storm track going much further south to the southern states (flooding and mudslides again in California?)....

Temps have been dropping all day after it rained most of the night off on and on.. Not even a half of inch all together but that is okay with me.. Wind is really starting to gust out of the northwest and drooping down to 28 tonight... High of 44 tomorrow but with snow in the morning...Intersting.... I guess they must be thinking the sun will break through in the afternoon to warm things up a bit... To early for snow... I might even say that on November 11th tooo...

Oh well, good fall moisture tends to mean good green up in the spring...

Here we're still picking raspberries and a handful of strawberries everyday.
Snowpeas are the closest we've come to snow so its hard to picture MT under the white stuff already.
