Has anyone tried this product? If so what results did u see? Any thoughts on it or any other products like it that are better?
 
I use it. and I think it is well worth it.

we had trouble with cows on stalks going down hill .,.... the new Bt corn has very little value in the stalk.
I put those cows on the loomix, and the effect was amazing. it is consistant. my breed back % was a lot better than it has been for a few years.

my opinion is try it, you will like it.
 
Mix 30 is a better product and cost less. As for the BT corn stalks.......do not buy into that one! Hi-Oil and Lysine Corn fodder is best, but I see no problem with BT varieties if I have to feed them.......

Mix 30 does cost less, but as far as being a better product, I have data from independent trials ran by Colorado State University that tell a different story. On rare occasions I have had LOOMIX hauled in to my place by guys who also haul Mix 30. The drivers hate hauling Mix 30, especially when it's cold.

I have been selling LOOMIX for the past 13 years. I first ran into Bt stalks about 10 years ago. Once the corn is off the ground and the cattle have to graze the stalks, you at times could be better off grazing them in a Wal-Mart parking lot than on Bt stalks. That year I had 3,000 head on LOOMIX for one customer, and when they moved them to the Bt stalks they couldn't be controlled on LOOMIX intake, eating 3-5#/head/day of pure bitter. As soon as the cattle were moved to non-Bt stalks, consumption was once again easily controlled. I do think that cattle have began to adapt to the taste of Bt stalks since then to some degree. There was also a bird resistant milo out a few years ago that was very poor for stalk grazing, due to taste.

Jigs was not compensated in any way for his post, but I do appreciate it and hope the rest of my customers feel the same way.
 
I don't know a thing about loomix.

This year the fall cows are eating a lick tub sold by moormans.
 
I have fed Loomix and Moorman's tubs. They are two of the better products there are. They both can be a little tough to control the consumption on, but they both can work perfectly, too.
 
the Bt stalks are of no value. if you got along good all winter on Bt stalks, I reccomend you take a course on how to set the combine, because there must have been a LOT of corn going out the back.


the added benefit of Loomix, is getting to sit a shoot the breeze w/ Loomixguy.....we enjoy laughing about the ignorance of a few liberal posters on here.....although last time, I noticed Loomix guy had that pic of Kola on his dash with a big red heart drawn around it and the one of Old timer was made into a button that read "he's got my vote"

I used it years ago- and the main issue on it is if you have someone that knows how to mix it right--to get the right sweetness or bitterness...I did have someone for awhile- but then the dealership started switching between hands- and it was nothing but problems...One time they'd empty the tubs like it was candy- and the next time they wouldn't eat any of it...

Being the tight wad I am--The thing with Loomix that used to bother me was watching those old cows stand there with all that expensive stuff dripping off their face onto the ground :shock:
 
We use it and love it. It is the best product we have used. We find it pretty easy to regulate as my brother does all the bitter/sweet mixing himself. We force feed it in a TMR to all of our calves and they just do better on it. All three sets of bulls (spring, summer, and fall born) that we raise and sell are on this ration and they do better on it than the way the used to be feed them. Their hair is better and the gain better as well. I recommend it.
