Lost a good one

My good dun gelding, Vegas, was struck by lightning last Saturday night. He had been on loan to a good friend for a little over a year for his son's to ride. I am not sure but I think they are 8 and 6. I felt terrible for their family, as attached as I was to Vegas, they dearly loved him. The family didn't have any horse that the boys were comfortable riding, so I offered Vegas. Those two boys had a lot of first on him. I am sure proud of what Vegas did for them, at least now they have enough confidence and desire that they will be able to ride something else.
