You have to let it be known that you WILL NOT allow people to just poke around your place! If it takes a cap in the arse, so be it. What about getting a starter pistol? It will make a lot of noise and make someone think they're getting shot at! Can you have one of them?

Cases like this you have to ' throw down' and it's YOUR PLACE AND YOUR RULES and whomever comes onto that place has to play by those rules!!

Don't be telling someone to wave a fake gun or unloaded gun around. If your gonn'a point a gun or shoot a gun, make damn sure it's pointd at what you want to hit and make sure you hit what you aim at. Wounded people can testify against you. Dead ones can't.

When you pull the triggter, be ready to face any and all consequensies (sp). If you can't, don't pull the trigger.

Never try to bluff with a gun. You might be up against someone who will call your bluff. If your going to point a gun, be ready to use it. JMO

I think you better just get the hell out of that hell hole your living in. Move to where people think like you do and aren't going to let the lawless element take over. Where ever that is, in your area or country.

Around here, your supposed to make sure they are inside the house when they die. Then it's their fault for trespassing. And their ain't no one to argue who was right and who was wrong.

B.C is a liberal province with a very strong NDP influence....strong left wing.Its where the bunny huggers and vegans flock to,esp Judiths home area.Oh and also NN home area :D

Judith if NN lives there I'd be packing today. I'd be hanging my head up in another set of stair rails come dark and it'd be somewhere that normal people live.

You can't be running around waving guns at people! (much fun as the mental picture is :) ) I'm not feeling "endangered" in any way at the moment. Much too level headed for that. I'm just being cautious and feeling a wee bit like my space is being invaded. Im not happy about it but I'm not scared out of my wits or anything. I do have a baseball bat by the bed and I will use it if feeling threaten. In all likelyhood we just have druggies or some type of pond scum casing the joint. The dobies would stop you at the door anyhow. They look scary but of course the big dopes would let you in the house and then go get the computers, any other valueables and hand them right over to any thief who wanted them :) Useless mutts!!!!
 
Its not just horses in BC they are anti everything and the closer you get to Vancouver the worse it seems to get. They seem to be only pro hemp, pro everything hippie.
Whenever I drove out there it always felt like I was in the Soviet Union or something. I hated to get out of my truck because everytime I did it cost me money.
One time I got a speeding ticket outside of Golden. I was going 91KM in a 90 zone. The Mountie just laughed and told me to spread the word that they hated trucks in BC :roll:
 
It's truly a have not sad province-I saw some girls working at a fruit stand near Creston that couldn't even afford bras. I bought some blueberries I didn't really need to try to help out their lot in life.
 
No, I think it would have been a neighbor who called the SPCA, but I figure the druggies are the ones wandering about. But who knows. I have a nifty little Trendnet Wireless internet camera at the front now. Wow is the picture ever good. I am going to use it for a foaling camera after I think :)
 
OK, the SPCA came back today with a bunch of really weird orders? I will comply no problem...


I have to put another rail on the stud pen? It is already 6 foot high????
All of the horses need a salt block ( I've never given them as it rains to much here, I top dress with hoffmans instead ) But heck for the 12.00 for a block I dont care.
All of the horses need to be checked over by a registered vet. They couldnt tell me specifically what the vet is suposed to look for but????
Herman is going to giggle at that. The phone call with his receptionist was hilarious. She asked what he was coming to look at. I replied I didnt know. We both BURST out laughing. But heck I will do what they ask if it's done the can not complain :)


I'm feeling a zillion times better...WHEW :)
 
Judith, anytime any report is made on a place out here, wether it be dogs, horses or livestock one stipulaton is a visit from a vet, than the vet has to write a report on. Basically it is so the officer can tell the complainer if they call again that you are acting in accordance to directions from a vet or something like that.. Herman will probably say "Find better neighbors".

Glad to hear that it went over well, must feel nice now that the pit is out of your stomache.

Judith, In time these jokers will now how you operate and any complaints filed aginst you will be filed in file 13.(trash). They'll know it's not worth there time to check you because you are responsible owner...

Hubby used to be checked pretty rugular by the d.o.t.s and they soon figured out he was legal and now they just wave or wave him on through..
Just takes a little time and maybe some pr.
 
They have to come out every time someone calls. Kind of silly in my mind as can you imagine how much time they spend checking out bogus complaints???? The other thing to is that complaints (in my mind) should HAVE to be legit. They should have to be able to take the complaintents name and number. Anon complaints should be chucked out...
 
In the states they take the name and number. The people investigating will often call the people reporting to talk to them about it. The annon part is that before any of the records will be released they will be marked up like classified documents.. They want to prevent retribution I guess but to me it kind of sucks because than you wonder for a long time just WHO it was.. You generally know but do you ever really KNOW?

90% of the reports there is nothing to see and nothing done. The biggest problem I see is in this state you have to have a vet come out if the complaint happens and the vet gets paid by you.. So in theory it can cost some money which would get annoying real fast... I often wonder if it got to the point where it became a harrassment issue if you could basically turn around and get that name and sue them for damages... Have one neighbor who raises pigs who used to get called on 2-3 times a year from the same group of people... Old rural fued.
