I go into this local hang out and manure spreading out fit Monday. Lotto fever has hit. 350 million at stake. One of the Fellas that is a owner proprietor of this establishment has a bright idea. Get 50 people to throw $20 a piece at the Lottery. 1000 tickets will up our odd tremendously. Being a rancher and born gambler I throw my 20 buck on the butcher block. Along with every other person that came into the place while I was there. I figured nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Yesterday morning after the big draw and national news is made. I get the phone call. "We won! Not the big one but looks like 50K after taxes" I speechless and start thinking how I can use the 50K. I need another tractor, wife could use a car, the list went on for miles. I then became practical. Put 20% in the bank. Play with 20%, ranch with the rest. I make my way to town and gonna bask in my and 50 other town folks glory of being 50K to better. I get to the store and go through the back door. Not wanting the to be on the main drag and get noticed by someone who might become a fast friend, or someone wanting some of my new cash.

The fella that had the bright idear, was busy breaking a half of beef down says "Go see my sister in front she has the money for you" I go to the counter and collect my big winnings $4.00. Seems they forgot to calculate the rest of the winners that share the jackpots with you. Reckon alot like ranching $20 invested get $4 is return but it is the lifestyle it affords. [/img]
