Last night it dawned on me the new project for my eldest. She loves showing cattle thrives on it. She spends more time with them in the summer then sometimes I feel she does us. Last night it occured to me what about lowlines. I did some research on them (what a person can do in one night) and I even mentioned it this morning to the bankroll and wasn't shot down. What appeals to me about them is for a small child they are going to be easier to handle and also a novelty. I found two breeders of them one angus and one hereford right here in a three hour proximity and felt luck of that.

Anyone have any friends with them or any stories to share? I'm just in the thinking phase and trying to get some info on them.

I have a friend that is using them to develop a grass fed freezer market.

Some of the information I read last night did deal with trying to prove their are benefits to them as far as the meat industry too. There was a positive to their marbeling capabilities.

If you buy some, CA, then I'll buy some. And then we can have a nice chat. :)

I had to quote this so you can't erase it because again today I was talking to the bankroll here and so far he's not against it. I cannot wait Faster until we can talk about our lowlines. :D Maybe I can buy the heifer and you can buy the bull and we can form a partnership!!

CATTLEARMY; I think the Rocking J ranch at Nenzel raises lowlines . Don,t think would be to far away from you. But they are not cheap, the fad thing you know. Get a nice quiet hereford calf for your little one and get more for your money.jmo rd :D
