Lucky Me!

I had the pleasure of escorting nr and Mr. nr around the day before they left. I introduced them to grandson Will in his welding shop, to Cornhusker in the bank, we drove out to the Bar 99 Visitor Center and then to the Green Valley where we saw my favorite view from a hilltop overlooking the headquarters and "green valley". From there we went to my, could be freer of dust house, to view pictures and "treasurers", that my offspring will eventually have to worry what to do with, before going to Soapweed's for T Bones.

After our delicious meal I considered it nap time and was ready to go back to the Green Valley. Nr was deep in the dishpan but dried her hands off and gave me a big farewell Delaware Hug! How many of you cowboys got that kind of treatment while she was here? Lucky Me!

Bob M, it was TOTALLY lucky me. We enjoyed every minute of your tour (while Carol was back home hustling up yet another big meal by herself) and getting to know you better which was a real treat and kind of inspiring to me to get back to writing. You could make it as a tour guide, you know? It is a beautiful area, those Sandhills reminded us of the seashore except your dunes never end Thank you so much for introducing us to you and them.

There were guys running around Denver in kilts- some sort of Scottish thing going on- and looking very handsome I might add. If you want to attract lots of attention from lots of the ladies, Cal, get yourself into a kilt. :shock:

FH,Really I'm not a humorous type person. And right now sort of glum because Craig called from the Denver Hospital. He is with a Delaware classmate and co-worker also attending the conference and they think our friend has had a heart attack. EMTs working hard on him. His wife is back east and they can't get her by phone.

Reminds me how fragile the thread of life and how thankful we should always be with our times together with people.

The Deadwood Get-together, and the other visits following it with many of you folks were just so special to us. I can't express that enough. I'd put up more pictures but Photobucket sent me a warning.

We head back tomorrow I believe depending on what happens in the hospital Many thanks again. And I'm counting on you coming east to visit at our place you know! Say the word!

nr, hope your friend is doing well, he's likely in the best medical facility in the region.
