I guess mail order brides are just like leased trucks. Pay really well for them the first couple of years, just about break em' in, then trade em' off for a new model with less milage. I guess if you can afford a two year turn around that's the way to go.

There are still some very nice ladies out there that are single looking for nice single men. Alabama, you shouldn't give up so easy.

I ain't giving up. i was married once. Never again. Plenty of good women out there and you don't have to let them get papers on you. Dang; half the people in the world are women. Why let your self be commited to one on paper. Never start somthing a judge has to undo.
"get your ash out" is so much easer than " I want a divorce"
 
When my dad was in his 60's and after my mother based got he remarried the natural way to his second wife - - after 3 weeks she took a Fire Iron Poker to him => ending in divorce.

3 or 4 weeks later 2 brothers offered to pay him good money to marry their mother from the Philippines for 2 years – 45 years old, a "Medical Doctor", good teeth, good health (Like selling a horse) one price with SEX and one price WITH OUT SEX and a Per-Marrage Contract - - Fair Money on Both Sides

I give my Dad credit – He Passed on it all

Years ago in this community there were quite a few mail order brides-- brides brought over from the old country (German or Scandinavian mostly)...Many times these were arranged weddings between the homesteader over here, with his family in Germany or Norway handling the search and arrangements-- or a neighbor writing back to bring over a relative for a bride...I saw many of these marriages last for 50-60-70 years- thru half a dozen to a dozen kids- thru some rough times and good times...
Some of these wives never did accomplish speaking English very well- but I never found one that couldn't cook...I can remember the meals at a couple of German ladies houses- you never went away without a meal or you insulted them- and you never went away hungry.......
