[Soapweed]

Sunday morning coming down. This cow is old and crippled, and the calf was coming with one foot back. It needed assistance but the cow was unable to travel to the barn. The windbreak came in handy.

I married a wonderful lady.

Sturdy steed holding things tight.

How?...I haven't the slightest idea.

Good helpers

Bear Creek snaking its way across the meadow

Muskrat on a pond

Puddles on the road and down each track

Lots of help showed up.

Everyone seems to be having fun.

Including General, our old dog

And even the bulls we are driving

Bulls will be bulls.

Fighting and causing a ruckus

On a hill

Trailing bulls

Getting them closer to corrals to fertility check them in a couple days.

Don't text and drive.

My horse's ears

Heading down the country

With persuasion from the back. The mission was soon accomplished.

Great pictures as always. I've been poking around here for the last few days looking for the "new edition" of the Soapweed pictures.

I'll go crawl back under my rock now....

We must have had the same kind of day. Ours was about 7 days ahead of yours though. The cow was having twins and the first calf had 3 legs coming at once. WOULD not drive to the pen. Lisa roped her first, but she was riding a colt, and didn't get her slack pulled in time. Ended up belly deep with the rope, so I HAD to rope here. She got the calves pulled. Lost them both, but I had another set of twins the day before that that cow would only claim 1 of them. THis cow got the second calf. Took being in the stall over night for her to claim it!! :clap: :clap:

Started my post-secondary career at University of Wyoming in 2014. Had to make the trip back east after a semester to handle my grandfather's failing health/passing. Going back to UWyo this fall. It's been a wild ride in the past year or so.
