Me and The Boys!!!!

Belated thanks Greg and I hope you had a good Xmas day. I never thought of myself as an " eastener". Not sure if I can qualify as we've got no fishing water close, I ain't tough enuff to drink screech and I refuse to vote liberal!  NR will have to speak for himself on these matters!   :P

Well boyyyyyyyys(insert Newfie Accent here)-we gots da fish here and I have Screeched on occasion but fail miserably when it comes to voting liberal. I can still remember my Dad imitating my Uncle and Gramma fighting in their scotch brogues. " By Judas Martha ye'll vote Conserrrrrrrrvative or ye won't vote at all."

Wifes family straight from Scotland love the get togethers that involve ANY alchohol, can't understand them before but after a few drinks,I'm looped they might as well be speakin french................Sorry boys for callin you Easteners, anybody who votes conser.is a westerner in my books :D

Still remember sitting on my Grams knee listening to her recite Robbie Burns-my kids love to play with accents-we sorted cows all morning in our best scottish brogues lol.

Both my grandmothers come over from Scotland as young girls and while they lost the "brogue" we often found it necessary for them to translate the language of the real Scots!!
