My sister does all the work. She opens gates and cuts twine, and all I do is drive.

Those are some stout, good looking calves, Soap. Are you
not using your branding Gizmo this year?

Kids are so cute and really growing! So nice you are nearby to
enjoy them. That's a blessing that not everyone has.

You have a great sis!!

Thanks for the pictures, enjoyed them all.

With Peach's double knee replacement and my West Nile complications, we decided to just use a calf table this year. It saves a lot of bending over and kneeling on the ground. So far, I haven't been on a horse outside of the day I bought the gentle one. I did manage to crawl over the top of a corral panel lately, both going and coming, so am proud of that. I also climbed the steps to get in a tractor and haul hay. We have a lot of riding and sorting to do before turning out to grass, so I'm hoping to get horseback to assist with that.

We do enjoy being around the grandkids, and are very blessed in having family living close by. My sister has been a lifesaver for me all winter, and has sure made my hay feeding go a whole lot smoother.

The twins are sure growing and the other two are sure going. :D :D

Soap, the cowboy way is to get the job done the best way you can and if that means a calf table that's just fine. The calves will be processed and grass will still grow.
I do know that you will be happy to get back in the saddle. :D :D

I know you rope and brand with a small crew , lot of places all the neighbors show up . Sue and I found that we can do a couple hundred calves (when we were running that many) with just the help of one or 2 more with the calf table. My knee healed up when we sold the milk cows , it was hard knelling on the concrete putting and pulling milkers.

since I had both my knees replaced I can't kneel down on a calf but that is worth it. I love my new knees I do them standing up or let my 20 something boys do it while I point out the next one.

I empathize with your sister. Around here, Billy drives on non school days and I shovel or get gates, or cut string. There are advantages to being 10 or just knowing how to drive.

What was the other brand of table you used soap? How many an hour do you guys all feel you can do in a hour? Harder to find help and the time to get everyone together like the older days. Looking forward to any info. Thanks for all replies Brent.
