burnt- While the weather has been good so far icould have 30 below any time up to the end of march.JUST ducky for calving NOT..i hope the prediction are correct but i,m not holding my breath. 8)

just to clarify at the present time it is 0.c it snowed all day and put down 2cm of fluffy white slop.my cows and hfrs are on 4 hour rotation and no calves yet but that can change at any time as the clock is ticking on 9mos.&5 days on the hfrs &purebreds.

Our cows are still in incubation mode, nothing due for 50 days but last year we were 30% done before we started. :???:

Well the winter kinda settled down here for most of the past couple weeks and we have had it fairly steady winter again. Just right really, with only a couple of nasty blows.

But it's warmed up a bit to just above freezing tonight and before it's to go back down to where it belongs for this time of year. Finally have a nice snow cover, almost 2 feet in places. It's the most we've had in a couple of years.

Nobody showed at the buffet last night. A pack is around at the moment. Don't know where the moose came from, a month ago there hadn't been much for moose around for a long time. They are everywhere at the moment so the wolves aren't going hungry.

I've gotten 2 this winter so far.
